Job Description

Responsible for:

. Leadership skills like ability to lead small teams, good communication skills, worked in on-off team model, work coordination with stakeholders like BA, business, app architects etc.

· Requirement gathering & analysis using requirement documentation and discussions with the BA’s and SME’s.

· Creating estimates and work package breakdowns using the analyzed requirements.

· Deliberating with the stakeholders for the estimates to get approval.

· Explaining & discussing the requirement and the solution approach with the rest of the team members and making any necessary corrections.

· Working with the team to create high level and low level designs. The designs would need to be approved by the stakeholders.

· Working with the team to code (including hands on coding), conduct code reviews, security analysis and integration tests to complete the construction phase.

· Working & coordinating with the testing teams & other developers to solve bugs encountered during QA cycles and production.

· Mentoring and onboarding new team members or existing team members for various projects.

· Collaborating with team members and SME’s to ensure correct implementation of code using defined coding best practices.

· Working closely with project managers to ensure timely completing of deliverables.

Must have skill set:

· Strong Java/J2EE fundamentals including Java 5&8, JSP’s, Servlets, EJB3.

· Strong knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery.

· Experience in working with IDE’s such as MyEclipse/Eclipse.

· Working knowledge of OO Design Patterns, JMS, JDBC implementations, SOAP and REST implementations for JBoss/EAP.

· Working knowledge of secure coding practices.

· Very good communication skills to operate with both onshore (including client) and offshore teams.

· Working knowledge of Informix database with strong hold on database queries including joins, Stored procedures, triggers

Nice to have skill set:

· Prior work experience in software implementations in hospitality domain.

· Experience in working with tools such as SoapUI/Ready API.

· Knowledge of JBoss/EAP upgrade and patch management.

· Experience in Fortify and other security analysis tools.

· Exposure to PADSS audits and related activities.
