Job Title: Infrastructure Lead

Contract: Length: 1 year

Location: Remote

Hourly Rate: Open (DOE)

Position Functions

At least 12+ years relevant working experience including expertise in Middleware
Administration(Websphere servers) OR Database Administration, OS (Unix/AIX) and data center migration.

Consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting architecture and business reviews, and
consensus building. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to
agility and business value is also a must.

Must be able to effectively lead diverse teams of technical engineers and developers in a 24x7
environment.



Knowledge and Experience

Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.

Experience leading major technology upgrades projects across multiple data center locations.

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and operating systems.

Knowledge of current network protocols and standards.

Experience with network security best practices.

Application support experience

Knowledge and experience with virtualization technologies.

Good knowledge of security as it relates to datacenter based infrastructure

Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices

Expected Organizational Roles and Responsibilities

Directs the daily operation and delivery of the production IT Infra systems.

Manages services critical to the business and IT systems.

Provides strategic leadership and tactical oversight in the management of people and operational resources.

Authors and maintain appropriate policies, procedures and documentation for IT Operations.

Runs an operational organization meeting service-level objectives, optimizing operational activities and
driving visibility into operations through analysis, trends and measurement.

Create and enhance the measurement of change control processes to drive stability and uptime to
production and user systems.

Oversees problem management processes to identify and proactively rectify incident trends.

Demonstrates calm diplomacy and professionalism under pressure during rapid change, conflicting
demands and crisis management.

Sets, maintains and improves alerting and monitoring of all systems, applications and critical
infrastructure

Builds high performance teams through staff development, recruitment and retention.
