IOT DEVELOPER , SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA
The successful candidate minimally has a background in electrical
engineering or Computer Science with an emphasis on embedded systems.
They can show code samples or contributions in Github or an Open Source
project. Most important they are a fast learner. They already know a few
programming languages/Containerization Technology/Cloud/API/CI-CD tool,
and picking up a new one is not only fun, but something looked forward
to. In fact, an IoT consultant lives to learn new technology and engages
with the team on new and innovative ways to monetize this in Accenture
Verticals. Finally, professionally, this person is passionate about
technology. Outside the office, this person is always into new things,
maybe a member of a Makers group, shares work efforts through Github, or
is/has been involved with Open Source Projects. Learning a new language,
tool, technique is an adventure and not a chore to this candidate. They
will thrive on collaboration, but capable of working on their own. They
have a passion for excellence and know how to balance perfection with
getting the job done. Finally, they need to be an excellent
communicator, both inside Accenture and with 3rd party team members. The
consultant we seek keeps lists (digitally or on paper) and is obsessed

computing, wireless communication protocols 6),Digital Economy issues
around Mobile, API s, IoT Monetizing Enterprise resources The
candidate will also have experience in one of the following
industries/sectors: 1),Retail 2),Manufacturing 3),Health Care,
Telemedicine 4),City management, incl. mobility, utilities, asset
management & 5),Oil, Gas and Water Utilities, Smart Grid/Micro Grids,
DRLC 6),Logistics, incl. air, rail & maritime transport
7),Telecommunications 8),Government services*The IOT Technology
Consultant will have experience in: 1),Technology architecture
approaches, Middleware (Spoke and Hub), SOA Patterns (ESB), Proxy
Pattern (API) 2),Familiarity with HTTP and REST 3),Programming:
Java/Groovy/Scala, Node.js, , Ruby on rails, python, Objective-C 4),Any
of other technologies used in IoT: RFID, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, Cisco,
Axeda, Thingworx, Wind River, SCADA, M2M, AI, XBee 5),Familiar with
Cloud platforms to include: AWS, OpenShift, BlueMix, Pivotal CF, etc.
