Responsibilities
Defines and achieves the strategy roadmap for the enterprise; including data modeling, implementation and data management for our enterprise data warehouse and advanced data analytics systems.
Establishes standards and guidelines for the design & development, performance tuning, deployment and maintenance of data and physical data persistence technologies.
Setting the vision, acquiring requirements, coordinating requirements with business partners, delivering data solutions, creating supporting documentation and providing training.
Provides leadership in establishing data and analytics environments required to support business information needs.
Proven track record to drive rapid prototyping to support ad-hoc data and analytics reporting.
Ability to coordinate and translate complex business requirements into data structures and analytics reporting.
Defines and implements the strategy roadmap for a comprehensive EDW, implementation of an MDM solution, and setting up appropriate maintenance and support criteria.
Works with all levels of the management team to understand business requirements to design the EDW schemas and define ETL processes for the EDW.
Ability to use Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies for projects.
Experience in and understanding of analytical processes including; governance, backup and recovery, information security and performance measurements.

Requirements
Minimum Education: BA or BS or equivalent is required
10 years SQL experience with a heavy emphasis on Stored Procedures
8 – 10 years experience defining database physical structures, security, back-up and recovery specifications
8 – 10 years experience maintaining database performance, monitoring, alerting and server maintenance and upgrades
8 – 10 years experience developing solutions in SQL Server and MySQL databases
5 – 8 years experience with Amazon Web Services implementations
5 – 8 years experience developing Amazon Relational Data Store (RDS) solutions
Familiar with Snowflake implementations and development best practices
Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) experience in either Dell Boomi, Informatica or Data Stage
Familiarity with Tableau extracts and live connections to data environments
Knowledge and understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics strategies and solutions
