As an DevOps Specialist, would be responsible for providing thinking around building, architect, maintain and securing infrastructure architecture of Cloud hosted products.
Should have a passion for programming and automation but can also think of the business needs and where and how you can utilize your skills to help improve the current state of infrastructure and fulfil those needs.
You have the soft skills to work with business owners and end users.
Strong architectural background with experiences in Cloud based IT data centers, develop the Point of the View and the best practices for DevOps strategies and solutions like Cloud platform selection (GCP, AWS, and Azure
Understanding of software development; including extensive experience with big data, Hadoop systems.
Essential Experience:
10 years of experience in the IT field, with a broad range of exposure to all aspects of business planning, system architecture and infrastructure architecture design.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in designing and optimizing application, infrastructure and network architecture. Architected software solutions for one or more of the leading cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
Strong software engineering background with experience in developing and delivering software solutions using agile and DevOps methodologies. Appreciation of the full SDLC and/or DevOps/Hybrid model
Experience working on cloud-based services with a solid understanding of continuous integration, delivery and deployment challenges, Configuration management best practices for developing and deploying cloud applications.
Strong Linux (CentOS, RH) skills including scripting, troubleshooting, and tool upgrades
Experience of deploying to a public and private cloud
Experience of using automated environment build tooling
Experience of building infrastructure within the Cloud Environment
Experience in building framework models
Provide technical mentoring to more junior team members
Skills:
Strong, hands-on production experience with AWS and core services, including IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, Lambda, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, and CloudTrail.
Experience in using Chef for infra configuration activities
Experience with Terraform
Experience with distributed services architecture
Production experience with log aggregation and analysis
Highly proficient with modern monitoring tools
Solid experience with scripting
Organize and manage continuous integration, testing and delivery pipeline and enabling delivery teams by providing adoption guidance.
Monitoring industry tooling, technologies and best practices to improve continuous development and delivery practices within FSE.
Good knowledge & experience on troubleshooting of Hadoop ecosystem technologies (Hue, HDFS, Spark, Impala) and major distributions (Cloudera, HortonWorks, MapR)
