Role: SR. Cognos Developer
Location: Chicago, IL
As a Cognos Senior Developer, you will be responsible for assisting our clients envision, design and deploy Analytics solutions. As part of a small, dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to multiple phases of the solution life cycle.
Position Requirements:
5-10 years of general technology experience (required)
5 years of Analytics/Business Intelligence solution delivery experience
Understanding of multi-dimensional concepts
Exposure/experience to multiple BI toolsets
Understanding of data warehouse principles
Dimensional data modeling experience
Data Integration experience
Semantic/ You have at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing IBM Cognos BI solutions (IBM Cognos BI version 8 or 10) and/or IBM Cognos TM1 solutions. Experience in other Business Intelligence solutions or EPM solutions is a plus;
You understand the business dynamics and are able to translate business performance management needs into specific performance indicators and the required technical solution. Not only you have an in depth understanding and expertise of data warehousing, Business Intelligence and/or Enterprise Performance Management, you also understand BI from a strategic point of view and can express the value it can bring to the business;
You have a passion for technology and want to excel in it;
You have strong business & economical skills that allow you to swiftly integrate in and understand different business environments;
You are a team player with strong communication skills;
You have at least 3 years of relevant experience with IBM Cognos BI or TM1 software (min version 8);
You have knowledge of Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management principles;
You have good knowledge of SQL Language;
You have an intellectual curiosity combined with outstanding analytical skills;
You are open to work in an international environment;
You are fluent in English.
OLAP technology experience (IBM Cognos)
Data Visualization experience
Leveraging Cloud-based architectures
