Essential Skills:
Hands on experience with the core AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, Redshift, Auto Scaling, DMS, Aurora, DMS, SCT, RDS, Elastic Cache, Dynamo DB, EBS etcplus the specifics mentioned in this job description.
Good background in Linux/Unix administration.
Experience on working with different containers Docker, OpenShift and ECS
Proficiency in at least one language from our stack: (Java, Python)
Strong notions of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.
Experience with monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, and the ELK stack.
Role Description:
Understand the current on-prem application architecture and propose optimal solution for that on AWS as well as cost effective
Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and AWS infrastructure maintenance
Set up a monitoring stack.
Define service capacity planning strategies.
Implement the application’s CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack.
Write infrastructure as code using CloudFormation
