Job Description :
These individuals will be remotely directing the field technicians as they replace Cisco Catalyst switching and Extreme Wireless Access Points with Cisco Meraki Switching and Cisco Meraki Access points.
These three resources will be on their own overnight working on our most critical current projects. Looking for one to be a leader and be able to handle complex issues that come up. All three will be interfacing with Customers and with our Field Techs. Clear verbal and written communication is a must have. Also, strong Meraki switching and wireless familiarity is of critical importance. These individuals will have access to a large part of our customer’s store network and the ability to bring down or otherwise impact production environments, which would be a significant problem. They will need to meticulously document their efforts and communicate them to the technical lead and project manager I will have assigned to the project so we can continue with post-cutover activities during the day.
General scope of these efforts will consist of the following:
Confirmation of the arrival and location of necessary hardware and materials
Baseline Store Operations Functionality Verification
Cabling and Physical Installation of Cisco Meraki Access Points to meet approved project standards
Removal of Legacy Switching
Install and Patch Cisco Meraki Switching
Removal of Legacy Wireless
Switching and Wireless Cutover
Meraki Dashboard Verification and Floorplan overlay to Wireless Network
Documentation and Pictures of Newly Installed Hardware
Post-Cutover Validation of Store Operations and Functionality
