JOB DESCRIPTION:
Enterprise Engineering is responsible for developing, enhancing, and sustaining software systems and products in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. Enterprise Engineering is responsible for using their broad technical expertise, leadership skills, and development process knowledge to be the technical leader for product development. Analyzes user requirements to produce specifications for the creation of new software products that effect many systems or for the enhancement of multiple systems.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of operational engineering practices, techniques and processes and advanced knowledge of technology trends and domain expertise
Understands/creates and drives requirements for a single or multiple components
Translates the results of analysis into design by following a predefined design or creating new design
Develops modules, documentation, solutions
Has advanced knowledge of theories, practices and procedures
Serves as a lead to the engineering teams, oversees other engineers tasks
Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations
Determines own work priorities
Works independently with minimal guidance
Effectively communicates technical knowledge and serves as a resource for colleagues with less experience or in cross-functional teams
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required experience with architecture and management of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Management, working knowledge of VMware ESX/vSphere.
Experience with server hardware configurations (RAID, SAN, blade-servers Intermediate knowledge of SQL Server administration. Advanced scripting abilities (VBScript, PowerShell
Required experience with networking (Cisco switches, cable patching, networking concepts
Knowledge of enterprise systems operations. Extensive knowledge of product engineering, including writing specifications, requirements, working with source control management.
