Job Description:

As a System Administrator for SCCM, this role is responsible for directly supporting new and existing customers in providing technical support in the MS SCCM 2016 environment.
The purpose of this position is to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the MS SCCM toolset and understand customer requirements to work with the application team to deliver SCCM solutions to fulfill customer-requested deliverables.
This person must be able to clearly articulate SCCM architecture requirements and discuss design improvements where necessary.
This position is not for an Application Packager or Desktop Support.

Responsibilities

Installs, tests, tunes, maintains, automates, designs and documents supporting systems, utility programs, monitoring tools, etc.
Maintains and improves monitoring agent deployments, configuration thresholds, licensing tracking and administration across all SCCM platforms for all customers.
Provides preventive maintenance by planning maintenance schedules and following established change management and release management processes.
Evaluates and maintains hardware/software management and monitoring tools which will meet both the immediate and future needs of the customer.
Maintains required compliance reports and scheduled delivery.
Participates in ensuring that customer requests via ticketing systems are managed to closure.
Supports Information Technology, systems and policies for tools and automation in support of business needs. Provides Level 2-3 support as needed.
Able to establish patch deployment policies, deploy jobs, monitor, and resolve issues as required in an efficient and streamlined process.
Develop and support image deployment ?zero touch? capability.
Communicate effectively with multiple customers and co-workers.
Consulting with the Service Desk, Client Services and Desktop Teams, on support calls
Able to communicate highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
Able to participate in various customer strategy meetings to define and understand customer delivery requirements and look to develop SCCM solutions to deliver accordingly
Providing Case status updates to management and end-users
Review various customer Statement of Work (SOW) requirements to identify opportunities to better leverage and/or customize SCCM capabilities to automate deliverables where possible, and work with leadership teams to bring ideas to fruition.
Providing phone support and diagnostics to remote customers.

Required Skills
Subject Matter Expert (SME) level experience in utilizing the MS SCCM toolset in various customer environments
Minimum 5 years of system administration and automation experience in a 24/7 production environment
Working knowledge of Enterprise Management tools
Working knowledge of Microsoft System Center tools - particularly SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM
Experience troubleshooting intermediate complex local area network (LAN) and VPN connectivity issues
Knowledge of image process (Win7, Win10) configuration, solution using standard tools (WinPE, disk management tools, OSD & TaskSequence within SCCM)
Strong scripting knowledge
Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, with intermediate experience with AD administration
Ability to create technical documentation.
Ability to manage IT / Desktop initiatives and organize projects
Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of customers with varying computer abilities
