Dept of Forestry office operates on Mon - Thursday (they are closed on Fridays
Office hours required (Mon -Thurs) and specific schedule will be discussed during interview.
Three days/week (with 9 hours each day) could be regular schedule in this role .
Project manager with PMI or VITA PM certification for a two month engagement to complete initial pre-planning tasks and project initiation for a $340,000 project. This project will integrate an application process into an existing agency system.
IFRIS (Integrated Forest Resource Information System) is a custom built application for the Dept. of Forestry. This system contains code for all of the business areas for the agency to track activities, accomplishments, timesheets, leave, wildfire incidents and water quality data, forest health, etc
Project manager will complete the pre-planning activities to include the project charter for project initiation. Will work with project team (agency and vendor) for project kickoff and grooming sessions for the first project sprints. Project manager will be responsible for creating documentation required by VITA in the CTP tool (CTP is in-house tool and training will be provided) for status reports and additional status reports to the agency, as needed. Will be responsible for day-to-day activities associated with project start up.
Experience with integrating grants (incentive programs) and financials into a business application would be extremely helpful in this role.
