Job Title: Mainframe Programmer/Analyst
Duration: 3+ Months
Location: Richmond, VA
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience in Computer Science
5+ years previous experience in Information Technology
5+ years strong mainframe programming languages COBOL, EZTRIEVE, and JCL
3+ years of experience in CICS, VSAM and MQ interface technologies
2+ years of experience in development and supporting an application environment
Knowledge of the Insurance Industry as it relates to Health Insurance
Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Highly motivated; self-starter and willingness to learn new technologies
Desired:
Experienced with Computer Sciences Corporation CLOAS administration application knowledge.
Knowledge of Client/Server (Oracle, SQL, Business Objects) toolkits
Knowledge of Non Mainframe technologies
Experience in application software testing, mythology and tools.
Experience working with CSC Product Accelerator (pA) product configurations
Hands-on coding experience with VP/MS programming language
Experience integrating VP/MS code with mainframe runtime modules
