Job Description:
Linux_AIX Admin JD
As Linux & AIX system admin, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining high end and critical AIX & LINUX servers. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced system admin with below skillsets or experience.
AIX:
8+ years of Strong Experience in demonstrating AIX system administration, P series Configuration, NFS, VIO management & HMC management.
Experience in System partitioning and virtualization utilizing IBM AIX POWER LPAR/DLPAR technology and Virtual IO Server.
Hands-on experience in HMC Network Install, Backup & Restore.
Hands-on experience on HACMP Clustering and CFS/CVG.
Experience in Changing Kernel Parameters and filesystem, cluster (HACMP) server related tasks.
Experience in applying Patches, security update, upgrades to latest OS

RedHat Linux:
5+ years of Strong Experience in RedHat Linux Administration, LVM (Logical Volume Manager), user management & manager administration.
Experience of System Management. System setup and managing Linux based servers as well as configuring them.
Proven exposure to Installation & Upgrade of Fixes/Patches/APARs (Authorized Programming Analysis Report) /TL.
Common required skillsets in both AIX & LINUX:
Working with IBM to raise PMR for hardware/ software calls.
Thorough understanding of web and FTP services
Experience in scheduling using Crontab, backup of rootvg & other file systems.
Capable of troubleshooting performance issues. System Security, integration, analysis, architecture & support skills.
Thorough understanding of storage related technologies from a server perspective; working with provisioned SAN, NAS, external/remote storage media, etc.
Solid understanding of core networking concepts such as routing, protocols, subnets, DNS
Good Knowledge on System Security and Auditing and participate in change meeting calls for approving changes.
Proficiency in PERL, Shell Scripting and macro’s
Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills
