Job Title: Field Applications Engineer
Reporting to: Director Quality Control and Customer Support
Position Objective:
We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer who is working in the semiconductor industry to join our team. This strategic role acts as the key interface between our client and Customer teams, managing engineering, quality and program management issues This role requires the ability to work independently, make critical decisions and lead collaborative efforts to maximize benefit to customer.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a professional on-site presence as Client''s representative
Respond quickly and efficiently to customer requests
Foster cross-functional & cross-cultural collaboration and cooperation between Client and Customer teams by regularly interacting and communicating with:
o Engineering, Quality and Program Management Departments
Manage technical communication with Customers
Provide comprehensive customer interface on quality issues:
o Ensure responded to in a timely manner, managed, and closed
o Provide detailed notes to Client Customer Support team on problems
o Escalate issue to management, if not dealt with in professional manner
Diffuse Customer’s voice during customer audits
Contribute to weekly and monthly accounts report
Work synergistically with Account Manager to maximize customer benefit
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
MA’s degree in Engineering, Business or Related Field
At least 5-10 years of related experience in semiconductor industry - (FD SOI)
Strong Customer Support Management experience in semiconductor industry
Strong working knowledge of Front End CMOS process and substrate knowledge
Strong communication skills, verbal, written and interpersonal
Demonstrated leadership skills and coordination of on-site and remote teams
Flexible schedule and able to work the hours required to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Highly organized, analytical, process and detail oriented
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, make critical decisions
Ability to work productively with frequent interruptions
Knowledge of Microsoft project or other project planning tool desired
Working level communication skills in French desirable
