Role: DevOps Engineer

Job Description:
Following are the requirements for the position:
· Enter/update trouble tickets into tracking systems.
· Past experience in an operations role (Systems Admin, Database Admin, NOC or DevOps) a plus.
· Maintain application, infrastructure and system health awareness using monitoring tools.
· Perform troubleshooting of system, network, and application related issues.
· Experience providing support for Linux systems. This includes assisting application teams with assessing issues.
· Experience providing support for Windows systems. This includes assisting application teams with assessing issues.
· Basic database experience which should include executing SQL, and assisting application teams with connectivity and integration activities.
· AWS experience is preferred. At CLIENT we are rapidly expanding our application footprint in AWS. We are utilizing many services provided by AWS, and continuously evolving as AWS evolves. Having experience with AWS services, and supporting applications in AWS is important.
· Systems integration experience desired. There are many integrated applications at CLIENT. This position will provide support to application teams for setup and troubleshooting of issues, as well as coordinating remediation of problems. This includes working with application and engineering teams, as well as users.
· Scripting experience is helpful. CLIENT is continuously evolving deployment and operations automation, and scripting technologies are utilized to support those activities. Some examples are Python and Perl.
· Strong communication skills are required. This position interfaces with many teams within CLIENT and success will be dependent on developing relations to deliver a good operational support experience
