My client is looking for a seasoned Software Engineer/Developer who has exceptional experience in C++, UI/QT & QML Arena. This Developer must be a self-starter who is looking to join a team to work on cutting edge GUI technologies.
Summary:
Our client in Irvine California is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our software engineering team to help design and implement the company''s In Flight Entertainment (IFE) product suite. The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of GUI development using the Qt framework. Experience in developing on the Linux platform is preferred. Experience with Java and Android application development is highly desired.
Candidates must be receptive to learning new skills in developing software and testing methodologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with design/requirements team to implement user interfaces according to specifications.
Work with automated testing tools/scripting for validation of implementation
Design, implement, and test the software components that make up the IFEC distributed system.
Create proof-of-concepts as necessary to demonstrate new ideas and technologies.
Work in an AGILE environment.
Customer Complexities:
The candidate will work closely with the internal product owner on the design and requirements of the user interface. At times, the candidate may interface directly with the customer to support demos and provide technical advice
Required Competencies:
Very good understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and design patterns
Experience with Qt UI framework
Fluent in C++
Experience with Java development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong technical background.
Experience with QML
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
· 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
Desired Qualifications:
GIT version control experience
UI development experience
Experience with graphics tools (Photoshop, GIMP, etc
Experience with Android
