Job Summary:
Looking for Environmental Program Manager to support various Environmental objectives and initiatives, considering current & future key global regulatory requirements. Your work requires you to closely partner with Product Environmental Engineers and Subject Matter Experts to support environmental reporting criteria ahead of product launch.
Key Requirements
• One to two years experience managing, organizing, and maintaining deliverables • Knowledge of electronic hardware products and electronic recycling is a plus
• Experience in product environmental compliance of an electronic system and/or
knowledge of compliance system development
• Individual who thrives in the details and able to manage multiple deliverables • Basic experience with Tableau preferred
• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment • Good English written and verbal communication skills
Job Description:
The individual will work closely with other Environmental Program Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and Marketing teams to support environmental reporting requirements at product launch for Apple products. The individual will assist in project deliverables such as packaging and material footprint data collection and calculating regulation-specific product and packaging recyclability rates. The individual will work cross functionally within Apple, and will have the opportunity to communicate with external Extended Producer Responsibility partner.
Education and Experience
BS degree in Engineering or Science preferred with 3+ years of relevant industry experience


Env Compliance Specialist - Austin, TX
Description:

Looking for a candidate who will support material qualification to its smarter chemistry goals, as part of the launch of its products. You will be responsible for identifying materials for review and managing qualification workflows, while establishing best practice and standard operating procedures in support of the product development process.
Your work requires you to closely partner with Product Environmental Engineers/Program managers, Toxicologists and Subject Matter Experts to support initiatives on smarter chemistry, sustainable materials, design for environment, and phase-outs of hazardous substances.
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience in a hardware product development environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, while engaging with multiple activities
simultaneously
• Passion for environmental sustainability and user safety
• Experience in documenting process and procedures
• Proficient in productivity software (Spreadsheets, Keynotes)
• Strong communication skills and thrives in both collaborative and independent work
 
• Familiarity with Bills of Materials, and manufacturing documents a plus
Education:
AS/BS degree in Engineering or Science preferred
