Role QA Lead - Workday Location - Chicago, IL Fulltime role Essential Responsibilities Working under immediate supervision of the IT Director of Quality Engineering and Release Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all facets of the Workday initiative. This role has the potential to evolve into a management position as the team expands. Specific responsibilities include: Drives day to day execution of testing activities Develops or evolves appropriate testing standards, guidelines and procedures as needed Understands Business requirements and Testing approaches to validate them Coordinates with implementation vendors and business units to develop test scripts, plan test efforts, identify resource needs, etc. Develops and manages test plans and schedules Trains and coaches team members on testing procedures, as well as effective use of test tools or templates; Ensures functional areas (Core HCM, Core Compensation, Payroll and Recruiting) have appropriate Testing coverage Collaborates with stakeholders to identify key quality metrics and use them in reporting of progress Communicates effectively with business stakeholders in nontechnical terms on issues that are encountered in testing and possible resolutions Requirements/Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or combination of education and experience A minimum of 3 years of testing lead experience (planning, coordinating, executing) Development and validation of testing packs as part of the onboarding phase of the project Collaborate with the vendor for test execution and defect resolution Assist with developing and executing a roll-out plan Implementation of Automated Test framework for the Workday program Demonstrate ROI by showing how automation has reduced the need for human capital to perform manual testing Expertise in implementing a holistic test strategy across a large scale program Expert Knowledge of Core HCM, Core Compensation, Payroll and Recruiting within Workday are a must.
