Description:

·         Ready to do Hands & Feet support and Visit the DC’s based on requirement Has Data centre experience

·         Looking for an experienced Storage Engineer with hands-on technical experience in storage build from scratch, configuring, administration, managing and maintaining of IBM Storage.

·         The person will be responsible for providing operational support and leadership for the configuration and management of Storwize Storage Controllers connected to the public cloud that hosts business to customers.

·         Primary job responsibilities include performing routine storage administration tasks, monitoring, providing operational and engineering expertise. Additional projects are assigned on an as-needed basis.

·         This position has secondary responsibilities for storage related functions which include performing storage provisioning, zoning and troubleshooting of storage issues and frames as required with our vendor.

·         Provide L2 and L3 level Storage Management services and product support for various

·         Storage boxes like V7000, Flash system 9k.

·         Strong knowledge in configuration, firmware upgrades, troubleshooting, RAIDs, Raid Group, Storage Group, Pool Group.

·         Proven experience on disaster recovery mythologies data replication methods Global Mirror and Metro Mirror, clone, snapshot, site to site replication.

·         Manually upgrading the firmware of the storage devices like Brocade switches, IBM storage, and SVC, IBM V700, Flash systems firmware to the latest recommended standards.

·         Coordinating with other team in resolving critical issues, and resolving, patching, cabling and racking issues in Data Center.

·         Document problem, troubleshooting steps and resolution in issue tracking system, use troubleshooting skills to find the root cause of an issue

·         Monitoring health status of all the storage and Fabric devices in the fabric and supporting 24/7 On call support.

·         In depth Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management, configuration management and Change Management processes

·         Create and update technical documentation of operating procedures as needed.

·         Own and lead discussions with customer and technical information technology solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions. Recommends solutions as appropriate.

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision
