Detailed Job Description
Responsibilities
• Work on the design, implementation and maintenance of the wireless network infrastructure and services.
• Work closely with other departments and vendors to lead WiFi deployment projects.
• Maintain wireless network documentation.
• Network monitoring and KPI analysis and reporting.
• Evaluate network performance and provide enhancement recommendations.
• Perform troubleshooting of network issues, identify root cause analysis and solutions.
• Perform software upgrades of wireless network components.
• Testing of network features.
• Conduct workshops for knowledge transfer and train team members
Technical skills:
• Cisco WLC and AP (Ruckus WLC/AP a plus)
• 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP, EoGRE (SoftGRE), PMIPv6, CAPWAP
• Knowledge of Wifi design tools such as Ekahau
• Knowledge of IP communication (TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, DHCP and network security)
• 802.1x, RADIUS, EAP, EoGRE (SoftGRE), PMIPv6, CAPWAP
• HotSpot 2.0 / Passpoint (802.11u)
• Experience with Cisco Prime and/or DNA Center
• Diagnostic tools – Wireshark
