Job Location: Tampa, FL / Hartford, CT (Initially Remote but after pandemic it’s onsite)
Role: Java Developer (Hands-on)
Work experience required: 8 – 10 yrs
Must Need Skill set: Core Java, J2EE, Rest webservices, Spring framework, Hibernate, drools and RDBMS
Clients Expectation:
As Senior Java Developer they have:
1. Sound technical knowledge in Java/J2EE, Webservices, Spring, Hibernate, Rest API and follow basic industry coding standards, design patterns and application architecture guidelines.
2. Working experience in Oracle / PLSQL writing queries to analyze the data etc
3. Experience in Java Drools (Good to have)
4. Flexibility to work in both development and support work.
a. Support -> Ticket/Issue analysis, production ticket fix, minor enhancement
b. Development - Develop new java components, new web services etc with minimal guidance
5. Flexibility to work in EST timezone. Work starts at 8 AM ET
6. Should be an independent hands-on contributor
Must have skill:
· This individual must be hands-on and strong in Java fundamentals
· Excellent in Algorithm, Data structures and OOPS concepts
· Ability to write programs with optimized solutions
· Strong in Java backend development
· Should have worked on memory management
· Excellent understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture
· Expertise in Spring, Rest webservices and Hibernate/JPA.
· Excellent understanding and should have worked on multi-threading
Good to have:
· Experience working for Healthcare domain
· Experience working in drools
Responsibilities:
· Design and code high quality deliverables adhering to defined standards and design principles
· Create unit tests and ensure code coverage is met as per the agreed standards
· Assumes responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the team’s deliverables
· Provide Java and database-based solutions by studying existing technology architecture; analyzing browser compatibility techniques; evaluating solution alternatives; developing prototypes; and writing detailed technical requirements.
· Fosters a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instills the principles of this culture in a team.
· Maintains technical knowledge and understanding of the latest development methodologies and best practices by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
· Ensures quality and consistency throughout the architecture and implementation of the code base
