Position will start Remote and then transition onsite
Client is looking for a Data Architect with very strong Oracle experience.
The successful candidate will have prior experience migrating datacenters.
Advanced Oracle data architect including database administration skills focusing on design rather than system DBA
Looking for a Data Architect to collaborate with other architects as part of the Global Data Center migration effort. This Data Architect will been gaged to reduce the complexity of enterprise data within current on premise databases as well as replication to a co-located, off-premise datacenter.
Job Specific Information
? Ability to function in highly complex distributed environment with multiple development and production environments
? Demonstrated experience with application and database migration scenarios
? Ability to transcend between conceptual architecture and logical structures to design and implementation
? Ability to reverse engineer current data structures and replication
? Ability to support multiple development teams in datacenter migration events
? Available to assist in multiple data center migration events during normal working hours and on weekends/evenings
? Ability to develop alternatives and identify trade-offs for retirement of materialized views, database links, and direct coupling to database schemas
? Present design proposals to data architects and development teams for evaluation
? Open mindset and willingness to accept guidance from peer architects
? Participate in reviews with data and solution architects
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Considered a Plus
? Advanced Oracle data architect including database administration skills focusing on design rather than system DBA
? Familiar with database tools such as Oracle SQL Developer and SQL*Plus
? Knowledge of Oracle data dictionary
? Knowledge of Oracle roles, permissions, tables, materialized views, views, OIDs, database links
? Familiar with data replication tools such as IBM CDC, Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard
? Experience across all phases of data modeling, from conceptualization to database optimization
? In-depth knowledge of data integration concepts, approaches, and tools to successfully implement data integration strategy
? Working knowledge of data modeling tools (preferably ER/Studio)
? Experience with implementing architecture principles and design patterns
? Experience with end-to-end solution architecture for data capabilities
? Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), micro services, and data services
