DataStaff is in immediate need of a UI/UX Front-End Developer/Designer Specialist for one of our direct clients in the Raleigh, NC area for a long-term contract opportunity.
NOTE: This position may be remote due to COVID; however, when restrictions are lifted, this role may be expected to move to the local onsite office to meet the requirements of this position.
** The candidate will need to come onsite the first day to collect equipment
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for responsive page design, graphic asset design/development, Front-End Development with JavaScript and CSS, wireframes, creation of UI elements, and creation of layout templates based on the needs of the client
· Maintains User Experience (UX) standards across multiple page/sites for layout and interactivity
· Design and building of interfaces for our internal clients using tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq Mockups and text editors
· Creation/editing of data-driven page templates in a content management system, as well as pages containing static HTML content
· Experience with Git, and/or Team Foundation Server
· Adding interactivity and animation to pages using JavaScript and CSS – all while keeping page load and responsiveness in mind at all times
· Building site templates with master pages
· Experience developing for a wide variety of browsers and screen sizes, using progressive enhancement to give users the best possible experience for their device
· Clearly communicating status reports, in verbal and written form
· Collaborating as a dedicated team member and demonstrating the ability to clearly communicate with other team members
Required Skills:
· 7 Years: Ability to design/prototype with modern tools like A e XD or Sketch
· 7 Years: Experience with JavaScript and CSS in HTML5 web pages. Prefer experience in a .NET environment
· 7 Years: Ability to create, configure and update pages using modern text editors
· 7 Years: Ability to read and generate wireframes, story boards, and interactive mockups
· 7 Years: Ability to effectively organize and present large amounts of content to end users
· 7 Years: Ability to create designs that work well in all screen sizes, using techniques like responsive web design
· Extensive experience creating public facing marketing websites, graphic editing, responsive design for all platforms, and page performance
· Be familiar with A e Creative Cloud, Visual Studio Code, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, and using these tools together to manipulate the DOM
