Systems Simulation Engineer Location Lafayette, IN, USA Technical/Functional Skills · Very good skills in Matlab/Simulink & State flow · Good control knowledge, including stability analysis · Ideally knowledge in model identification · Ideally knowledge in a total vehicle model, e.g., truck maker · Ideally knowledge in vehicle dynamics · Good Communication and language skills in English & German Experience Required 3+Years Roles & Responsibilities · Setup the Simulink requirements model in co-simulation with the total vehicle model. · Define in cooperation with the vehicle and bench testing necessary tests for identification of model description and parameters. · Evaluate measurement data for determination of model description and parameters. · Align with development partners within ZF commercial vehicle product development, ZF steering development and customers. · Model existing and new algorithms in Matlab/Simulink and integrate existing models in cooperation with function & controls engineers. · Create script for automation of tasks, especially stability analysis and documentation. · Document requirements in textual and visual form. Develop automated requirements regeneration using Simulink. · Creation and Maintenance of executable system requirements and product models in Matlab/Simulink and a total vehicle model, e.g., truck maker. · Creation and maintenance of a CAE based stability analysis tool. · Support for documentation and maintenance of Controls and Software Requirements in a requirements management tool (e.g. doors) and directly in Simulink. Generic Managerial Skills · Work independently with little to no supervision to meet tight deadlines · Logical problem solver; good attention to detail · Proficient in English oral and written communication skills Education Master’s / Bachelor's degree in controls engineering or similar
