Job Title: Data Center/Systems Administrator
BS Degree in Computer Science highly preferred
• Focus on development of extending or modification of existing services to meet requirement changes
• Focus on project work while being able to delegate off sustaining debt to accelerate the completion of projects
• Focus on user experience improvements and efficiency of design to streamline processes so that there’s not as much thrash.
• Planning for future infrastructure upgrades and changes
• Be able to project focus on key components to enable the Maestro Project as well as split development costs for components for it between the two of us to shorten turn around times.
Ideal Skills Required:
Programming Languages
• Familiarity with Python 2.x, 3.x
• Familiarity with PHP 5.x,7.x
• Basic compiling skills in C/C++ for Linux (Does not necessarily need to know how to write code in it, just enough skill to know how to download source, configure it and compile it)
Shell Scripting Languages
• Basic Bash
• Basic MS Batch
• Basic PowerShell
• Basic Expect (optional)
Data Structures:
Some Familiarity with:
o Yaml
o JSON
o XML
Database Administration/Creation
• Familiarity with Database creation as well as Database Server Administration
o MariaDB/MySQL (in both Linux and Windows Environments)
o Postgresql (in both Linux and Windows Environments)

OS Familiarity
• Windows Server 2012R2-2019
• Windows Desktop 8.1-10
• Linux (via ssh Shell, GUI as well optional)

Networking Skills
• Understanding of basic Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking setup including 802.1q VLANs, setup and connection of Port Channels and basic Switch trunking.
• Familiarity with iPXE/kPXE and coding in the iPXE markup language
• Familiarity with SYSLinux and its associated markup Language
• Familiarity with GRUB 2.x and its associated markup language
• Basic Switch configuration syntax familiarity from varied vendors (Force10, PowerConnect, Extreme, Cisco, etc..)
Other would be nice to haves:
• Flexibility of hours, having someone who only wants to work 6am-2:30pm makes it far more difficult to sync schedule wise, but I do understand that with the Staff Aug, the hours may not have a lot of give to them.
