The Application Services organization of Information Technology is seeking to hire a highly motivated and dedicated professional to join its management team.

 

Mandatory Skills:

This opportunity allows the selected candidate to join a team implementing cutting edge technology capabilities in support of key company initiatives, ranging from in-house developed applications to vendor package solutions used to support our construction related processes from the planning phase, design, installation, and on-going maintenance of our assets.

·       These applications include web based and mobile solutions.

·       The ideal candidate must have at least an associate degree, preferably in Information Technology or a related field.

 

Systems Analyst (1H):

 

·       Requires 3-5 years’ work experience with 2-3 years experience working with a structured development methodology.

 

·       Knowledge of the following skills is required for this position: a programming language such as VB.Net, VB, or C#, a relational database such as SQL Server or Oracle, and Microsoft Office tools.

 

Senior Systems Specialist (2L):

 

Requires 4-8 years’ work experience with 3-5 years experience working with a structured development methodology.

 

Knowledge of the following skills is required for this position:

 

·       Database Design/Analysis, Business Analysis, .Net Development, SQL Server, and Microsoft Office tools, functional/technical documentation.

·       The applicant must have the ability to learn new technology as required for the job using documentation and other available resources.

·       Candidates must understand the components of a typical corporate computing infrastructure and the job functions required to support them.

·       Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

·       Must be able to interact with all levels of management.

·       Must have the ability to understand technical concepts and explain them to non-technical people. Must be able to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities, while meeting deadlines. Must be able to influence IT direction within IT organization and business areas.

·       The ideal candidate must be flexible and must be willing and able to work off hours as required for system installations and upgrades, for production support or in response to corporate emergencies.

·       Experience in MVC 2.0 or higher, JQUERY, Telerik Controls for .Net applications, AJAX, SOAP, LINUX, Classic ASP, and Microsoft InfoPath is a must.

·       Knowledge of Construction business area or electric utilities, electric transmission/distribution, and feeder restoration process is a must.


Responsibilities: 

 

·       The successful candidate will be part of an energetic and motivated team of professionals that develop, support, maintain, and enhance the systems which are critical to the successful operation of Construction, Substation Operations, System & Transmission Operations, and Electric Operations.

 

·       The candidate will have a role in developing IT solutions for our mobile work forces in Construction and Electric Operations utilizing the latest technology. Responsibilities also include developing enhancements to in-house developed systems based on business requirements, system interfaces to Oracle e-Business Suite and Work Management Systems, implementing product upgrades, system maintenance, responding to the business area’s inquiries and troubleshooting problems.
