Candidate Responsibilities As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer you are responsible for efforts to develop, test, and implement processes, strategies, & tools supporting Supply Chain & Supplier Management teams with focus on improved throughput efficiency & visualization This position requires strong interpersonal skills but also strong technical skills in data collection, manipulation, visualization, and analysis with focus on Supply Chain. This will allow you to identify best practices, act as a change agent, and drive standardization, improvement, and simplification across multiple processes, functional areas, and facilities within the division.

Typical Day  REMOTE IS ACCEPTABLE SINCE POSITION WILL END IN 15 Month BUT Work director would prefer to see someone around Cary to allow for some onsite if needed. ------Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Performing work to track and improve visibility of supply chain performance metrics or targets (SSP, PPM, inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, order-to-delivery results, etc.).

• Working effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams and developing, implementing, and maintaining data analytics tools, metrics, and visualization dashboards to facilitate analysis and support decision-making process within various Supply Chain areas (Packaging, Transportation, Logistics, Purchasing, Supplier Management, NPI, etc.).

• Gathering, processing, and analyzing data from various data sources and use in development of tools & data visualization.

• Support division as SME for critical projects related to Supply Chain Management.

• Manage & support several projects at once.

Education Requirement     • Four-year university degree, preferably in Supply Chain

Technical Skills Required   • Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain processes.

• Strong data analytics background.

• Advanced technical & analytic skills in Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot).

• Advanced data manipulation across multiple data sources (blending/consolidation of data).

• Advanced technical skills in report & application development in Power BI.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Five to seven year of job experience.

• APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, APICS CLTD, or CSCMP SCPro Certification.

• Experience with Office 365 Environment (including Sharepoint, Power Apps, Power Automate)

• Knowledge of and / or experience deploying Lean, 6 Sigma, and/or Project Management principles. Experience with the Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIW) and Value Stream Transformation process.

• Working experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics.

Soft Skills Required  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve complex problems.

• Strong collaborative, interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• Leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain improvements making the best use of available resources, while maintaining strong people focus and fulfilling the responsibilities for leading people.

• Negotiation skills to drive common processes across multiple departments
