Job Title: Sr. Systems Analyst (BI Developer) Location: Remote across the USA Job Type: C2C Duration: Long term Client: qbotica.com Purpose of the Position This position is responsible for building, implementing and supporting Microsoft BI solutions that provide data, analytics, visualizations and other tools to deliver data access, trend analysis and decision support. In addition, this position will help to develop the corporate framework and governance to help drive business intelligence for a global audience. Major Duties & Responsibilities The right individual will possess In-depth experience with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSRS and SSAS The emphasis of this experience should be within Data Modeling (SSAS), but experience in Data Collection and Presentation is a plus. Data research and analytical abilities so as to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address user needs Create written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations Direct quality assurance and user acceptance testing by writing test plans and managing the execution of testing (Unit and UAT) Share in Information Management and Shared Services team’s ongoing 2nd/3rd level technical support for supported applications and environments For example, HRIS, Time and Attendance, Educational systems, Compensation planning, Goal and Career planning, Payroll, Costing, Pricing and Sales Reporting Collaborate with other teams within the organization and be able to devise the technical solution as it relates to the business & technical requirements Basic project leadership development of project plans and provide time estimates on related project work Create and follow timelines Communicate project status(s) within IT Will be expected to mentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of Analysis Services Problem Solving/Decision Making: Decision making related to application support and project-based work: project planning and design, milestone development and establishing associated timelinesbased work: project planning and design, milestones and establishing associated timelines. Most problems will be related to systems and technology (fixing bugs, integrating and enhancing new and existing technologies) Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving for Information Management based problems. Working Relationships: Internal Reports to Director of Information Management and Shared Services Peers – Information Management Team (other Systems Analysts) Contacts - business owners (executives, knowledge workers) External Contacts technology support and software vendors as needed Knowledge and Experience: BS. degree in systems related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in database design and/or business analysis with strong skills in analytics and Tabular and OLAP cube development. Technical experience includes the following: The primary focus is on Microsoft SQL Analysis Server SQL Relational Database and SQL Language Nice to have MDX/DAX Experience Report Development (Microsoft SSRS) Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) (Microsoft SSIS) Microsoft PowerBI, PowerView or other Visualization tool experience. Dimensional Modeling (Kimball Methodology) a plus Azure Experience Skills and behaviours needed to teach, tailor messaging, and—when necessary—assert control during interactions with business partners. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and adjust communication style by medium and audience Experience supporting manufacturing or product development environments a plus Distribution, Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Capital Asset Management, Pricing and Job Costing Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will regularly be required to talk or to hear both in person and via telephone/Virtual meetings for support and training. Employee will primarily work with a computer in an office setting requiring and be required to use vision to process information presented via a computer terminal.
