Title: Sr. Reporting Analyst (SAS and/or R) Location: NYC, NY 10001( locals preferred) Duration: 24+ months Required 3 reference 10+ Yrs. Of total experience 5+ years in developing and analyzing data using a programming language (SAS and/or R) Advanced MS Excel Skills, including VBA 1+ years utilizing Business Intelligence Tools to develop dashboards - Microsoft Power BI strongly preferred Mandatory skills/Experience A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four (4) years of full-time paid experience in the fields of operations management, public administration, education administration, business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field, eighteen (18) months of which must have been in a managerial capacity; or A satisfactory combination of education and experience. 5+ years in developing and analyzing data using a programming language (SAS and/or R) Advanced MS Excel Skills, including VBA 1+ years utilizing Business Intelligence Tools to develop dashboards - Microsoft Power BI strongly preferred Experience with descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning big datasets 2+ years developing database queries and stored procedures using SQL Ad hoc data reporting Business data understanding Data mapping Data dictionary MS SQL/Server Scope: Performing as a member of the Data Analytics and Reporting team, the reporting analyst is responsible for developing and continually refining data reporting and analytical processes including data models used in the development of operational and management report and dashboards. Responsibilities: Design, develop and implement databases and/or data marts that will be used to feed automated operational and management dashboards produced on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Extract and transform data from multiple internal systems into a consolidated database and/or data mart that will be used for reporting, dashboards and analytical modeling. Conversion of existing reports, dashboards and data processes to accommodate source application enhancements. Utilizes analyses to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics and dashboards for insights and data visualization in existing business intelligence platform Fulfill ad-hoc requests Develop, test and implement SQL data queries and analysis Act as technical expert for all BI and Data Modeling technologies Ensure that all database designs conform to appropriate data modeling standards, guidelines, internal best practices and approved modeling techniques and approaches. Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures Collaborate with Data Architects and IT team members on reporting requirements Communicate effectively and translate business requirements into data reporting solutions. Desirable skills/Experience A master's degree from an accredited university in operations management, public administration, education administration, business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field. Experience in performing data analytics, data modeling and testing activities in a large data project. Demonstrated experience in building service-oriented relationships and providing successful consultative support. Familiar with data visualization platforms (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Qlikview etc Familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques Understanding of complete Software Development Life Cycle methodology
