Role : Sr. Linux Engineer
Customer : Intuitive/Tech Mahindra
Location : Bay Area, CA (Preferably), Open for right candidate

Rate : $75/Hr on C2C

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Linux Redhat/Ubuntu support (technologies supporting these OS also like IDM, Satellite, Tanium etc.)
• Hardware install/break/fix/troubleshoot – Dell/ Cisco UCS
• SAN/NAS (Pure/Isilon/NetApp)
• Virtualization (VMware/Nutanix)
• Backup (Commvault/Data domain)
• Maintain customer-facing, mission-critical 24/7 production services
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot operating systems, networks and applications
• Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and upgrades, including instance patching and replacement.
• Provide infrastructure level support for Production, Development and QA environments
• Drive best practices for operational policies and procedures, including communication, change and incident management
• Participate in an on-call rotation (if needed)
• End to end automation using tools like terraform, Ansible etc.
• Writing deployment scripts, debugging application issues, and evaluating new technologies.
• Delivering 12x7 operations through a customer-focused approach including responding to production alerts.
• Implementing system level and application performance monitoring metrics using various monitoring tools like Elastic search, Icinga and Dynatrace.
• Documentation and review standards and operational procedures for cloud IF and enable team members to support Cloud Infrastructure.
Skill/Job Requirements:
• 10 + years of experience with architecture for SAN/NAS (Pure/Isilon/NetApp)
• 10+ years of experience with Virtualization (VMware/Nutanix/KVM) and Backup Software like Commvault
• 5+ years of experience using Terraform, Ansible etc.
• Good grasp of fundamental security concepts with hands-on experience in implementing security controls and compliance requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work well in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
• Working knowledge of risk management and standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree, required
