Job Description
An experienced IBM Informix Database Administrator (DBA The DBA will provide application development support for Java web-application application stacks, legacy Informix-4GL and PowerBuilder applications. Special consideration will be given to candidates that can demonstrate good communication skills and a high-level of comfort with working with and advising other team members on how to perform DBA tasks and best practices
Job Requirements:
· Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an Informix DBA
· Experience with Redundant
· Informix Database systems across distant geographical locations
· Experience with Connection Manager
· Demonstrable Redundancy expertise implementing High Availability (HDR) clustered database servers, Remote Secondary Servers (RSS), and Enterprise Replication (ER)
· Demonstrable experience with rolling upgrades and migration
· Experience with implementing Informix Database encryption technologies on data-at-rest, data-in-motion, and Backups
· Expert level Informix SQL administrative abilities to implement roles-based permissions
· Comprehensive understanding of object-level permissions, indexing strategies, auditing, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and subject matter expertise in all Informix DBA responsibilities
· Ability to write scripts and automate all Database related tasks and deployments
· Experience with Informix running on Linux OS running on VMWare VSphere
