Job Overview:

At LPL Financial we consider it our mission to take care of our advisors so they can take care of their client. Joining as Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining sustainable, scalable data pipelines that support delivery of data to highest standards of software products, processes for our advisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to develop data integrations services with On-Prem and Cloud-native stack

  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, modelers and domain SMEs

  • Responsible for working within a team to deliver data integration and engineering projects across a wide variety of systems to support business functions and processes to improve end user experience

  • Designing data integration solutions, document and present the designs along with technicals specs related to projects and get them reviewed and approved

  • Provide production support for the deployed jobs, and integration services

  • Understand and support metadata management and information practices that improves its usability through its lifecycle

What are we looking for?

Requirements:

  • 9+ Years of experience of which 4+ year in designing and implementing workflows, complex mapping using variety of ELT and ETL technologies

  • 2+ year(s) experience working on Spark, Scala/Python and 1+ year(s) experience working with StreamSets tool and Apache Sqoop

  • Experienced with batch process design, implementation, scheduling, monitoring and enhancement using industry standard tools like Autosys, Tivoli, etc.

  • Good hands-on experience with ANSI SQL, T-SQL programming, SQL with performance tuning and, working knowledge of NoSQL

  • Experience with DevOps toolchain that enables CI/CD pipeline (e.g. GitHub, TFS, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, Puppet)

Core Competencies:

  • Experience with Agile development process

  • Design, develop, document, and test data integration solutions using industry standards and tools

Preferences:

  • Experience working on Lambda with AWS

  • Experience in AWS Redshift

  • Experience in development on cloud-based ETL tools like Talend, AWS Glue is an added advantage
