Position: Sr. Android Developer
Location: Irving, TX (Remote to Start)
Duration: 12 months
Either Webcam Interview or in Person
The resource will be designing, implementing, integrating, and testing Android application code with native UI controls utilizing Client's backend APIs to manage Client’s services.
Required:
· 5+ years of software development experience with 3+ years of experience developing native - Android mobile applications (including UI implementation, WebView integration, consumption of XML/JSON/REST services, and SQLite/databases)
· 3+ years of experience in Android (Android Studio / Kotlin / Java / Android SDK)
· Experience with the Android Material Design Interface Guidelines & Android app permissions.
· Experience using advanced Android capabilities including GCM/FCM, camera, multimedia playback
· Solid knowledge of the mobile industry. Intimate knowledge of Android devices, platform and application experiences.
· Passion for great application architecture and user-experience.
· General understanding of mobile networking and cloud/content services.
Preferred:
· BS or MS in IT/Computer related degree - Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins tools.
· Experience with an ORM like Active Android is a plus.
· Experience with Realm or Room DB data management library is a plus.
· Experience with the Promises background processing library is a plus.
· Experience with deploying on Amazon Web Services is a plus.
· Experience with debugging apps via AppSee & Crashlytics is a plus.
· Having published one or more applications to the Google Play Store is a plus.
· Experience working on ordering/billing systems (especially for a service provider)
· Knowledge and previous experience/analysis of telecommunications & entertainment products & services, business processes, and back-office systems is desired.
