Responsibilities for the SQL Server Database Administrator

  • You will assist with administration of LLR's Microsoft SQL Server databases to include the administration of LLR's consolidated licensing system.
  • You will serve to coordinate all modification of database program code including the backup and integrity of the code in multiple instances and environments of the consolidated licensing system.
  • You will administer all database modifications with regard to efficiency, data security, user security, and system integrity.  
  • You will support development of systems and database systems with the creation of stored procedures, functions, and job as required.
  • You will create and maintain both import and export specifications for various internal and external sources.
  • You will maintain the physical descriptions of database components.
  • You will develop standards, data definitions, documentation and design of security systems.
  • You will ensure maximum online availability of LLR databases by the use of clustered database environments.
  • You will maintain contact with internal and external customers for database support and problem resolution.  
  • You will serve as a support and backup for LLR's server farm to include VMWare and Storage Area Networks.
  • You will monitor and report, as needed, problems and issues with servers to appropriate individuals.
  • You will be responsible for backups for LLR's consolidated database systems.
    Minimum Qualifications for the SQL Server Database Administrator
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field and experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support, or the support of complex database management systems. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
    Preferred Qualifications for the SQL Server Database Administrator
  • A minimum of four (4) years' experience with MS SQL Server Administration.
