Title: Splunk Engineer
Location: 3712 Jackson Ave, Austin, TX 78731
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension
Last date for submission: January 14, 2022 (2.00 PM-CST)
Note: Remote allowed until COVID-19 situation settles. If the resource is in Austin area, current requirement is to be in the office a minimum of once a week.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This includes the administration and support of the Splunk environment, including addressing incidents, requests, patching, enhancements, building dashboards, monitoring, log ingestion, integrating other products, and working with the vendor for L3 support.

Minimum (Required):

4 Experience with Cloud / Cluster management
6 Ability to create Custom Apps and Dashboards
6 Ability to manage and update data forwarder configurations
6 Experience configuring IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) KPI and glass tables
6 Expertise with Python shell scripting
6 Expertise facilitating data onboarding/ingestion to Splunk
6 Ability to scale-up Splunk architecture, troubleshoot resource usage & fine-tuning environment
