Splunk Architect - Eden Prairie, MN
3-6 Months Contract to Hire

PROJECT: We are working on building the platform and processes for indexing all of Client’s Machine data (logs/events/metrics) into a central Splunk platform.
IDEAL BACKGROUND:
Splunk Platform experience at Administrator/Architect level (3-4 years of experience minimum)
Software development or Unix/Windows/Network Administration background
Shell scripting/Automation experience

Hands on Architect experience in Splunk 7.X
Public Cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure)
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Architect Splunk Platform for 20+TB/day ingestion
2. Automate Splunk processes in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and other container platforms
3. Onboard Machine data into Splunk platform
4. Assist team members with Technical issues
5. Maintain Splunk Platform health in both on-prem and Cloud
Software tools/skills needed to perform these daily responsibilities:
Splunk 7.x, SPL, Bash, Chef, Ansible, AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins
Must have:
Technical expertise in Splunk platform
Strong automation experience using bash, python and/or java
Nice to have:
Software development
Data engineering
Work hours: 9am - 5pm CST
