You need to reside in the Pacific Time Zone or the Eastern Time Zone.This role is for an opening for a Lead Software Engineer on the Manheim Logistics SRE team. The SRE team is tasked with designing and maintaining AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines for Manheim Logistics 15+ development teams. The team has currently standardized on a Docker-based infrastructure solution and is adding functionality to support new development team requests and architectural patterns (such as Lambda, Step Functions, Fargate, etc). The SRE team has a strong focus on IaC with Terraform and best practices such as least privilege access, proactive monitoring and alerting, etc.As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Cox Automotive you will:* Strong automation experience- testing, deploying, monitoring, etc.* Take complex and not maybe well-defined problem and come up with a technically reasonable solution* Have innate curiosity about how things work* Design and assist in the authoring of software tools that reliably manage application delivery & performance* Design and assist in the setup and maintenance of application monitoring and alerting* Engage with product/capability engineering teams to ensure best practices are implemented* Improve predictability and reliability of software releases, workflows, and operating software.* Reduce application deployment windows by leading company towards a Continuous Deployment environment* Reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR) by helping troubleshoot, monitor, alert, and automating recovery.*Compensation:** Compensation includes a base salary of $118,600 - 136,400. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.* Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program. (Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.)* 5+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.* Expertise in software development and architecture/solutioning experience * Strong background with Terraform* Experience with Amazon AWS technologies including: ECS, EC2, IAM, Lambda, Cognito, WAF, Elasticache (Redis), Elasticsearch, SNS, SQS, S3, Systems Manager* Experience with CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy* Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive* Experience with Github, docker, and linux adminstration experience * Experience with Database Server infrastructure (RDS, MySQL, Postgres, etc)* Must have experience with monitoring/alerting/ observability tools such as: New Relic, Datadog, Splunk PagerDuty* Experience with agile development, continuous integration and automated testing* Excellent written communication, problem solving, and process management skills* Desire to work in a fast paced, evolving, growing, dynamic environmentPreferred Skills:* Experience automating Terraform at scale (Atlantis/Scalr/Terraform Enterprise etc)* .NET core development experience* Ruby development experience Who We Are*About Cox Automotive*Theres nothing ordinary about Cox Automotive.
