Position Description

Experienced Senior Project Manager to help lead one of the company’s most important initiatives. We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to knock down doors, drive decision-making, and tackle problems head-on as they arise. You will be relentless in the face of challenges, optimistic in response to difficulties, and enthusiastic when solving problems.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Scoping, Requirements Gathering, Design, Construction, Quality Management, and Implementation. You will play an important role in guiding the initiative to achieve the desired business results. You will coach resources with less experience on large initiatives. You will work closely with our vendor partners to deliver the desired results.

Essential functions include:

· Overall planning, execution, and completion of a business transformation program that involves the implementation of a new Life and Annuity Policy Administration System (PAS) and converting policies from multiple PAS systems to one target system.

· Work closely with SMEs, functional & technical architects, business analysts, technical staff, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery

· Develop scope, create project plans, develop processes, drive execution, identify and resolve issues and manage costs

· Facilitate technical and business discussions, assess trade-offs, manage/mitigate risks, and drive to consensus across teams

· Establish, monitor, and drive successful delivery to agreed-upon dates

· Coordinate system integration activity with third-party vendors that interface with the new and legacy platforms

· Ensure dependencies across teams are identified, tracked, and managed while assessing the impact of delays across the entire initiative

· Help document requirements, develop, and oversee project plans and implement change control procedures

· Facilitate code reviews, software design sessions, and architectural reviews

· Consult and make recommendations to senior management/executives on significant decisions or issues facing the initiative

· Define and publish a program-level dashboard to executive leadership

· Effectively and appropriately escalate when needed within the course of the project

· Assess stakeholder satisfaction and take corrective action as required

Required for Consideration:

· 10+ years’ experience with deep project management experience

· Previous life insurance and annuity systems experience and / or Policy Administration (PAS) conversions is preferred

· Previous experience working on B2B, SaaS applications across multiple platforms (web, desktop, and mobile) is preferred

· Proven experience LEADING large, complex platform conversion projects from conception through successful roll-out

· Proficiency in project management tools (like MS Project)

· Proficiency with project management concepts including integration, scope management, requirements traceability, creation and monitoring of integrated plans, time / cost estimation, testing and quality management, relationship management, communication planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management

· Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to manage through ambiguity and complexity

· Solutions-driven individual

· Superior communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills that will enable you to earn trust at all levels of the organization

· Demonstrated ability to influence without direct management authority over project team members

· Experience leading enterprise-level technology initiatives
