The Role
We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. The Sr. Application Software (MS Power Platform) will have the exciting opportunity to help design, develop, and configure the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365. This is a multiyear strategic, transformational project.
As a Sr. Application Software Engineer (MS Power Platform) you will:
- Standing up the Cloud Environments
- Implementing the Dynamics Software
- Configuring & Customizing the software to meet the business requirements
- Integrating with many backend data sources and systems
- Responsible for assuring/satisfying both technical and consumer needs of each project.
- Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable off the shelf application or custom-built technology solutions to meet business needs. Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software developers and Engineers.
- Contribute to the entire implementation process including driving the definition of improvements based on business need and architectural improvements
- Meet with business partners to understand business needs
- Responsible for overall design of the solution
- Design, build and test applications
- Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality

Additionally, you?ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of related experience
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred, requires demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field.
- Strong software development skills in the Microsoft Power Platform: Power BI; Power Apps; Power Automate; and Power Virtual Agents
- Ability to configure, customize, extend and build customized business application
- Experience with Hitachi Accelerators: Migration, Development, Test and Opps
- Background in Azure cloud computing service for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers.
- Advanced knowledge of Agile methodology (required). SAFE a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and data retrieval from relational database system (required).
- Experienced in workflow design, configuration and process development, must understand business process concepts. (required)
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with Java Script.
- Advanced understanding of IT processes and disciplines (e.g. software development, operations, and infrastructure).
