Job # Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Charlotte, NC – 6 Months
Job Description:
This resource will be working on business requirements and writing code to make it functional. They will also be analyzing the data before writing this code, which is written in combination of: unix shell script, spark, HIVE, Impala, Java, or SQL Query.
Job Description:
Build test scenarios and acceptance tests for the stories in the Product backlog
Setup, maintain, operate test automation frameworks, and test data pipelines
Perform test automation on multiple application types – Web, APIs, Hadoop, and SQL
Investigate customer problems, referred by the Business or Sustain
Create and manage defect reports and communicate with the team
Handle platform/application specific technical communications with Product owner, team members and stakeholders
Work with developers and the Sustain team in resolving application
Write SQL queries to analyze data sets and identify data anomalies
Qualifications:
Knowledge of various test methods and corresponding tools like JUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, etc.
Knowledge of Java, SQL, Python or other programming languages
Experience of working in an AGILE + DevOps delivery environment
Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organizational skills
Understanding of Object-Oriented design principles
2+ years’ experience in delivering test automation at the unit, business logic, and integration level testing
Strong SQL experience
Great communication skills
Shell scripting/Unix experience
Working knowledge on querying large data sets, data sampling and identifying anomalies in data
Knowledge of HUE and Impala – Spark would be a plus
