Role : Scrum Master II Location : Toronto, ON Mode: Contract Job Description: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Educate, coach, and mentor development teams on Agile/Scrum best practices Support and educate the Product Owner Work closely with the Enterprise Agile Coach to ensure ADF and Scrum best practices alignment Advise Scrum Masters on facilitating key Agile/Scrum activities: The Sprint, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, Retrospective Meetings, Backlog Refinement, Facilitate key Agile/Scrum rituals including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews and Retrospective Meetings Facilitate scrum process for projects involving 4 7 departments. Promote Agile/Scrum values and support teams transformation to Agile/Scrum work practices Hold team accountable for the achievement of release objectives and commitments to stakeholders Analyze current processes assist Development Teams/Scrum Masters with the identification and implementation of improvements that optimize productivity and maximize business value Provide advice and feedback on how to execute Agile/Scrum methods Improving transparency across the organization and assisting with communication Ensure deliverables are achieved on time and within budget by identifying and removing impediments for the team Encourage organizational learning and transparency by communicating team objectives and progress cross functionally Create a positive work environment and be an effective role model by championing CIBC's mission, vision and values JOB DIMENSIONS This role is expected to have an Enterprise Wide Impact but is based on Toronto Works with Technology and Business Leaders from all areas of the business Directly influences outcome without direct reports The activities of this role are directly aligned to the Clarity Agile@Scale stream KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Successful candidates must exhibit CIBC's values of trust, teamwork, and accountability 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification Bachelor's degree/diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent Expert level of understanding of Agile/Scrum processes, roles, and practices Extensive experience applying the Agile values and principles in a direct capacity as a team member Excellent written and verbal communicatio9n skills Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to encourage, motivate and guide team Knowledge of Build Automation and Deployment Automation tools and techniques strongly recommended Project management experience considered and asset
