Position: SAP Architect - HR/HCM

LOcation: Topeka KS

Project Summary / Solution Architect Need:

•  Fortune 500 company moving time to gross pay functionality for 18k union employees into SAP ECC HR module leveraging SAP Time Evaluation / CATSDB.  Our HR system of record is SuccessFactors in the Cloud.  Another key data input will be from our Manpower systems which isn’t SAP, thus integrations will be key between (1) Manpower (2) SuccessFactors and (3) SAP ECC On Prem (where building this time to gross solution).  Gross to Net resides in SAP as well as other SAP downstream modules.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge:

•  10-15+ years of experience in implementation and maintenance of SAP Enterprise Applications with a focus on HR/HCM modules in ECC.  

•  Time Evaluation, Time Schema, Payroll Schema, CATSDB, BADI and UI Feeder classes, Data Replication Framework, ABAP knowledge, Rules Engine knowledge, SAP UI5/FIORI

•  3 to 5 years of experience in SuccessFactors

•  Experience in MDG Master Data Governance

•  Transportation/Railroad Industry experience

•  Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager

•  Experience using SAP implementation methods

•  Business process analysis and redesign experience: strong business analysis skills; process mapping; business process redesign and implementation

•  Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support

•  Effectively promote process best practices

•  Excellent interaction skills

•  Communication skills: strong presentation/ communication / facilitation skills (oral and written)

•  Works well with teams or in a team environment, with the ability to work independently.

•  Proven team leadership, mentoring, and project management skills.

•  Strong time management skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and handle large workloads.

High Level Responsibilities:

•  Review overall project timeline and phases

•  Help lead the business design sessions with Manpower, SuccessFactors and SAP teams

•  Review accuracy of design flows, configuration, and development items.

•  Requirements gathering for role based UI

•  Help determine most efficient design and data flow across (1) Manpower (2) SuccessFactors (3) SAP ECC HRM

•  Ensure key decisions are discussed and documented appropriately

•  Ensure proper configuration and technical documentation is produced throughout the project

•  Conduct cross training sessions with TS support team prior to implementation

•  Ensure design/build is S4 compatible.  If some build is not compatible, document what will need to be redone as part of S4 migration. 

Detailed Responsibilities:

•  Act as internal consultant and design architect for SAP solution within specific modules. Partner with peers in the IT organization and fellow Functional Architects and Business Analysts to align business processes with solution design, leveraging the capabilities of the SAP modules.

•  Responsible for the full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions.

•  Translate overall business process requirements to SAP configuration.

•  Advise on the management of configuration and testing across the SAP environment.

•  Support the identification of enhancement opportunities to standardize/improve processes and system configuration that supports the customer-focused approach, but ensures compliance to the business management goals and objectives.

•  Collaborate with Functional Architects and Business Analysts to ensure end to end process integration and consistency

•  Develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives

•  Lead and support project initiatives to expand the usage of the SAP solution to improve and expand processes across the enterprise.

•  Understand non-SAP business systems and their interaction with SAP. Assist in the management of those systems as part of an overall solution portfolio.

•  Provides functional support and leadership to SAP User Community including: interaction with Third-Party Support Providers, definition of SOPs, gathering business requirements, documenting functional designs and specifications, and evaluating / directing enhancements.

•  Identifies training needs and supports CoE Training Manager in the development & delivery of training content.

•  Researches and analyzes basic and complex issues surrounding our client's business processes and systems.

•  Collaborate with Master Data Management team to provide solution architecture input on strategy and initiatives to support management reporting requirements.

•  Mentor business and functional team members to increase their competency in SAP.
