Job Title: SAP Basis Specialist
Number of Positions: 1
Duties:
As an SAP professional you should be able to design, implement and deploy SAP solutions to achieve defined business goals. As a Senior Basis Consultant you should be able to perform system monitoring across SAP/ERP environment, regular system maintenance (escalation level), mentors and coaches, and performs project work as needed.
You should possess skills in SAP application technical design, development, integration, testing and deployment; and SAP application technical architecture. You will work on a variety of projects, assist other team members/consultants with difficult issues, and provide technical leadership to KCS SAP IT.
Along with having advanced experience in managing SAP environment changes, upgrades, enhancement, implementation along with migrations (both Homogeneous and Hetrogeneous) you are also expected to continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact internal operations and user (stakeholder) experience.
As a specialist, you must be hands-on with and should be able to implement the latest technologies such as SAP Cloud Platform, S/4HANA, SAP CoPilot, SAP Conversational AI, big data, analytics and mobile to deliver the next generation of SAP solutions.
Skills:
- Experience in global SAP implementations, experience working with global System Integrator (SI) team. Desired experience on S/4 Hana implementations.
- Knowledge and experience running administration on the following systems: SAP S/4 HANA, SAC, Fiori, Dataservices, PO/PI, SCPI (SAP Cloud Platform Integration), GRC, SAP CoPilot, SAP Conversational AI.
- Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are preferred: SAP Solution Manager 7. 2 (SAP ChaRM, TechMon, BPMon, CCLM), ITIL tools & processes.
- Responsible for Basis build efforts for SAP and S4/HANA systems.
- Understands the architecture and landscape design for S/4 including connectivity to other systems. Experience working with native SAP integration as well as enterprise integration tools like MuleSoft.
- Responsible for coordinating amongst members of different IT teams (Datacenter, Database, Integration, BI) to address and resolve any issues or problems, escalating to vendors, partners and other support managers as required.
- Partner closely with external vendors, including on-shore and offshore resources. Provides Technical cut-over, Go-Live and Hypercare support.
- Able to work off-hours when required to perform maintenance activities, as required.
- Responsibility for supporting and monitoring a project landscape and performing troubleshooting analysis.
- Maintains knowledge of advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques, solid analytical skills, experience in system administration/configuration, refresh/upgrade projects and enhancements.
- Governance and controls to ensure adherence to technology standards, best practices, release management, change management, and other related processes and procedures, SLA and controls compliance.
- Proactively manages the environment and help ensure unplanned outages are reduced/or eliminated by helping provide root cause for issues.
- Knowledge of networks. Firewalls, VPNs, encryption, Web-Services, SFTP, Authentication SSO, SAML, LDAP. Integration with identity manager.
- Able to define/update Infrastructure documentation and proficient in written & spoken English. Must have strong communication/soft skills and possess strong analytical skills along with ability to work and collaborate across project teams, onshore/offshore.
