Job Description
this is a right to hire opportunity for a SQL Developer. They would like this person to start as quickly as possible.
Keys are SQL and .Net, and knowledge of Cobol would be a plus
.Net is preferred not required..
Mainframe Migration Integration: Help integrate Monthly Gross Profits; FLASH and Budget data and reporting into new Production SQL DB. Includes testing and working with accounting to confirm accuracy of converted data.
Conversion of remaining COBOL to MS SQL Applications and Data: Item Master, Scan Support, Saker Payroll Data Processing. (Does Not require COBOL experience)
Migration of Manual Excel Reports to MS SQL including modifying: Corporate Flash reports to have YTD, Weekly Sales Transaction Data.
Work on back-log of SQL report/data processing requests from the business.
Support overnight batch process production application data issues.
Additional responsibilities in delivery of the above:
- Leverage and support an Agile project / program management methodology
- Breaking down project initiatives into tasks and managing the successful outcome of each
- Monitoring task completion towards assigned deliver by date
- Communicating progress to stakeholders
