Bing@Work is a feature that lets companies search their internal results in a modern, engaging way that is changing the way our customers see search in the workplace. Our team is building a true differentiator from our competitors and deals with interesting challenges around how to scale a secure and compliant search engine. We are seeking a skilled frontend developer to help with instrumenting and monitoring telemetry events, experience with SQL and PowerBI is a plus.

 

The skills we need:

  • React/Redux
  • Typescript
  • Azure DevOps/Git
  • Kusto/SQL/Power BI (optional)

 

Typical Day in the Role

Typical task breakdown and rhythm:

  • We need an experienced UX dev on React.
  • Someone who can understand the frontend/ux and understand how to collect the data.
  • They don’t need to process the data.
  • This is really just a data collection focused role.
  • The flow is working well and the basic component is in place but they need to maintain this and need someone to jump in and dig through any issues that come through.
  • Needs to find it and then communicate with the other teams needed to get it fixed.
  • Needs to know and be able to figure out what the issue is.
  • There are other teams updating certain features which can sometimes affect what this team works on.
  • They need someone with strong front end skills.
  • They use JavaScript with Typescript and use React.
  • There is ARIA that they are using for telemetry.
  • They use Kusto for queries as well. PowerBI will be used as well.
  • Interaction level with team – they’ll partner with their team and other teams
