Software System Validation Engineer
Job Description:
============
The responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Own the overall test strategy for the product including test plans, test development, test automation, and integrating the tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Responsible for testing complex product features which includes understanding the system level customer usage, architecting test scenarios, creating test plans, implementing, automating, and executing. Create and improve test automation frameworks and test strategies. Interact with customers and users to validate user experience. All this for the cutting edge 5G implementation.

 

Qualifications
===========

Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

 

Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in the following areas:
• Experience in these core areas: IP services, Access Control, QoS TCP/IP, Networking concepts and protocols, using Multicore CPUs
• Programming and scripting experience in C, C++, PERL, TCL, Expect
• Hardware and Software debugging

Education:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience.


• Operating System level experience including UBoot kernel, bring-up; etc.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
• Traffic tools like IXIA, Spirent, XENA
• Wireless domain experience


The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed above.
• Strong, clean coding skills. Knowledge and experience with object-oriented design and architecture.
• Comprehensive knowledge of fully automated Functional unit testing, end to end functional testing stress, testing load, testing performance, testing static, code analysis, static and dynamic security testing.
• Comfortable with programming and strong grasp of operating systems concepts.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures and database fundamentals.
• Expertise in scripting languages, like Python, TCL/Expect, Perl.
• Programming experience on Linux, UNIX and Windows.
• Write moderately complex code scripts to test systems.
• Object Oriented Language expertise e.g. Java.
• Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality.
