Sr Snowflake Developer
Location: Albany, NY (onsite, 2 days a week in office)
Job Description:
· 10+ years of experience with Information Technology
· 7+ years in Data Warehouse and ETL development
· 4+ years of strong experience in designing and implementing a fully operational solution on Snowflake Data Warehouse
· Excellent understanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologies
· Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities like SnowSQL, SnowPipe, experience in administering Snowflake, experience with data loading from cloud (Azure) & APIs etc.
· Experience in performance tuning of the snow pipelines and should be able to trouble shoot the issue quickly
· Experience with creating dbt(data build tool) models for snowflake
· Analyze, code and performance tuning UDFs, UDTF, Procedures using SQL, Python and/or JavaScript is a big plus
· Extensive experience in relational as well as NoSQL data stores methods and approaches star and snowflakedimensional modeling Understanding of data transformation and translation requirements
· Understanding data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipeline using cloud based implementation and Testing and clearly document the requirements to create technical and functions specs
· Experience with Python a big plus and a major relational database
· Understanding of RESTful API design Passion for industry best practices and computer programming
