Title: Site Reliability Engineers (CloudOps)

JOB SUMMARY
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking multiple SRE’s for a contract to hire opportunity that will be 100% remote. The SRE’s will assist in defining and implementing the SRE discipline. The SRE team augments the Development, IT and DevOps teams by focusing on operating production systems using a software engineering approach. SRE goals include improving system performance, increasing operational observability, enhancing system stability, and reducing time for software delivery.
- Be a champion for department initiatives and values by ensuring all actions promote the department’s mission statement
- Build a metrics-driven operational culture standardizing our practices for SLO definition and review
- Implement monitoring, alerting, notification and metrics collection for
o Infrastructure and application performance
o System uptime
o Error rate
- Establish delivery, reliability, and deployment processes
- Proactively identify issues and create work items to improve stability and performance
- Handle incident recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and postmortem
- Assist in technology selection and development for cloud operations and reliability
- Partner with Engineering for management and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, including developer workflows and tooling choices
- Contribute to the design and architecture of cloud services
- Write and maintain documentation related to application operations, policies, and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of Systems Engineering experience in the following areas:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Windows and Linux Servers
- Application Monitoring Tools (Datadog, Application Insights)
- Log Aggregation Tools (Datadog, ELK)
- Active Directory, GPO, DFS, RBAC
- SQL Server Management (hosted or cloud)
- PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting
- CI/CD tools (Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Octopus, etc.)
- Infrastructure management tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Application Hosting (IIS, Apache, Tomcat)
