Position: Site reliability Engineer

  • As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Cloud Architect, as a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for leading the creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems and services that run on cloud platforms. The Cloud Architect reports into the Infrastructure and Architecture organization, but would be embedded into the Site Reliability Engineering team to provide architectural leadership and best practices. You will work closely with solution architects, business stakeholders, and developers to identify and architect cloud-based application and infrastructure supporting services for a variety of platforms across the CompuCom enterprise. You will be responsible for ensuring that critical applications are designed and optimized for high availability and disaster recovery. As and IT information technology (IT) expert, your focus will be on cloud computing enterprise architecture. This includes responsibility for enterprise cloud infrastructure designs, roadmaps, and forward-looking strategy.

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely related subject; an advanced degree is preferred. In addition, 10 or more years’ experience in designing large and complex IT operations in large organizations, a service provider environment is preferred. The position requires strong leadership and team-building skills, and must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals.
  • Experience as a team lead
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and VMware
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and application service-oriented environments
  • Knowledge of all components of an enterprise cloud technical architecture
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design
  • Experience working in a managed services provider environment

    Certification:

    AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional Or
    Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect


    Languages:

    Infrastructure as Code tools; Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Ansible, Docker, etc.

    Tech Competencies:
    • Expert knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, services and deployment of infrastructure as code
    • Expert knowledge, support, and operations of Windows & Linux OS
    • Expert knowledge of DevOps concepts and best practices
    • Expert knowledge of CI/CD implementation expertise
    • Expert Technical Services Operational Support, Troubleshooting, and Problem Resolution
    • Expert serverless cloud architectures
