Job Description :
Position: Qlik Sense admin
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 12+ Contract

 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Experience with combining data from multiple different sources (such as OLE/ODBC sources, Excel, delimited and fixed-width text files, etc.)
  • Ability to filter data and identify cleansing methodologies and provide performance indicators and recommendations to correct any code problems.
  • Check the efficiency of the existing data collection processes and determine business impact due to data quality issues.
  • Develop load scripts with a deep understanding of BI load script and data modeling best practices.
  • Proactively identify system/app performance issues and resolve them by working with the BI developers.
  • Support for release-night activities, including starting/stopping scheduled tasks and monitoring database schema changes.

  • Must be a critical thinker who can successfully troubleshoot and solve data
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Ability to manage key project milestones with limited direct supervision. Work in a fast-paced, self-managed environment and juggle priorities based on project needs.

Technical Skills
  • Deep understanding of the overall architectures of BI platforms such as Qlik on both single and multi-node platforms.
  • Experience working in Data Warehouse environments.
  • Ability to create data extracts such as Qlik QVD’s from source systems.
  • Strong SQL background. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred.
  • Experience working with Cloud-based technologies like Snowflake, AWS.
  • Qlik Sense Enterprise strongly preferred, but QlikView Enterprise acceptable.
  • Single-sign-on (SSO) and PowerShell experience desired, but not necessary.
  • Experience with Qlik Web Connectors, GeoAnalytics, Qlik Management Console (QMC) desired.
  • Qlik Associative Big Data Index (QABDI) experience is a big plus.
  • Experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI is a plus.
